I have been really enjoying the Xo beauty brushes. The face definer brush is the stand out of the three. Perfect for sculpting contour and applying foundation. The shimmer fan brush is great for highlighting with its soft and slightly fluffy fibers. Although it has a few sparse hairs flicking out of shape but could be due to having it for so long or not being taken care of well enough. The concealer brush is soft on the skin and applies products well. Perfect tapered shape, not too big to use in certain places on the face. It can become stiff like other makeup brushes. If you do not wash it and take care of it. All three brushes are made of synthetic fibers. The two bigger brushes have matte handles. Great grip for when applying products. It can also be a bit messy but a makeup wipe can fix that. Shannon Harris, beauty youtuber, “shaaanxo”, has created some good individual brushes.
This shiseido perfect refining foundation leaves you with a beautiful satin finish. The foundation also gives you soft matte feeling. Therefore it is great for an oily combination skin tone. The texture of the foundation is a light, water like fluid. Which is easy to apply and blend with a beauty blender. The coverage is a good medium but also build-able without looking heavy. The shiseido perfecting stick concealer is a thick, creamy stick. That gives great coverage but using an excess amount. Can highlight your pores and give you creasing under your eyes. Less is more. The packaging is great for travel as both items are small and plastic. However they do get slightly messy since the packaging is black but you can use a make up wipe to clean up the mess. They foundation also contain spf but still looks great in photos. Without too much flash back.
The real techniques core collection is an amazing brush collection. Created by real techniques and Samantha Chapman. Samantha is one half of YouTube, makeup sensation pixiwoo. Along side her sister Nicola Chapman Haste. The brushes are a perfect beginners set. That comes with four brushes and a case. Each brush has their names clearly printed on each brush. The brushes are made of synthetic bristles. That feel soft to the touch and are an easy clean. Which leave a streak free finish and a flawless base. The pointed flat foundation brush creates flawless layers with liquid foundations. Which creates a full coverage. Another great foundation brush. Is the buffing brush great for powders and liquid. However, it does not layer a lot of coverage. Like the pointed flat foundation brush. The contour brush is great for applying powders. Especially blush, highlighters and bronzer. The thin detailer brush is great for applying lip products. The panoramic case is an easy clean with an wipe. It also can be folded backwards half way to make it stand. It also is a great way to dry brushes upside down when wet.

I love this xo beauty flat top face brush. It is my favorite brush to use for foundation. Anything from liquid, creams and powder. The texture of the hairs on the brush are soft, dense, synthetic fibers. They are gentle on the skin. It spreads my foundation evenly without leaving streak marks. I have had this brush since last year and it still works fine. I wash it with anything soft and bubbly. I dry it with a towel and make sure I do not get any water beyond the bristles. As this may slightly remove the bind that keeps the synthetic fibers to the brush. This brush was from the first collection of the xo beauty range. Which was slightly changed and now made in Italy. However, there is a similar one called the xo beauty flat face brush on their website. If you are on the hunt for a new foundation brush give this one a try. These brushes were created by Shannon Harris, Shaaanxo, beauty guru on YouTube.

I have recently been trying out new skincare by Lush. The quality of the products are just as good as others on the market if not better for the price. My favorite of the bunch was the Lush exfoliator called the rub, rub, rub shower scrub. The scrub had a strong smell of sea salt and thick, blue crystals . It does exactly what it says and rubs away any dead skin. Leaving your skin feeling smooth and clear. Use an exfoliating glove for best results to remove dead skin or fake tan.The yuzu and cocoa shower gel left my skin feeling moisturized
Apparently it was supposed to smell of chocolate oranges, which was written on the packaging. Instead it smelt of coconut. The texture was a soft, yellow gel.Lastly the snowman shower jelly. This could be used through the hair and on the body. It worked perfectly fine. It was a white, jelly like texture. It felt a bit more oilier than the shower gel. It smelt slightly minty and lemony.
